Agent of Industrial Property graduated in Industrial Electronics from the National Institute of Specialization of the State of Rio de Janeiro and graduated in Biological Sciences from the Veiga de Almeida University – RJ. He has extensive knowledge of all phases of processing a patent application (from the prior search to the granting, as well as participation in the analysis of patents in judicial spheres as a technical assistant and expert) and of the rules in force in the country on Intellectual Property.
Leonardo participates actively in national and international congresses related to the field of Intellectual Property. He is an advisor member of the Brazilian Association of Industrial Property Agents (ABAPI), an advisor member of the Rio de Janeiro Commercial Association (ACRJ) and a member of the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI)
Counselor, Coordinator of the Working Group on Patents and Industrial Design and professor of the Professional Training Course on Industrial Property at ABAPI, Member of the Patent Committee and of the ASIPI Educa Program, at ASIPI, guest professor of the intellectual property module of the Management and Execution of Technological Innovation Projects Course (GEPIT) of the Foundation for the Technological Development of Engineering at the University of São Paulo (FDTE-USP), in addition to speaking at various, public and private, institutes. Leonardo is also a member of the ACRJ Business Council for Innovation and Technology.
He was mentioned as an expert in Administrative Patent Procedures by IAM PATENT 1000 (The World’s Leading Patent Professionals) in the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and he was also recognized for his valuable practice in the patent area by Leaders League in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and as IP Leader by WIPR (World IP Review) 2023.
He became a partner at Gruenbaum, Possinhas & Teixeira in 2015 and is responsible for the Patent, Innovation and Technology area.
