Igor is a Brazilian lawyer and managing partner at Simões IP having over 25 years of experience in Intellectual Property prosecution and litigation. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Federal Fluminense University, in 1999 and Law from Candido Mendes University, in 2009. Igor qualified as a registered industrial property agent before the Brazilian PTO in 2001.
Igor’s experience includes management and prosecution of patent portfolios ranging in size from a few to dozens of national and international patent cases. His practice also encompasses counseling clients in several patent issues, such as drafting of patentable claims in Brazil, launching of products to the market, data exclusivity and National Sanitary Surveillance Health Agency – ANVISA, and preparation of FTO opinions and infringement analysis.
